Here’s just a handful of our favourites, all located in the west Cornwall region (so you won’t have to travel too far from our park).

Cadgwith Cove

Cadgwith Cove

Cadgwith is a tiny fishing village located on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula which houses whitewashed thatched cottages and a small shingle beach. Famed for its appearance on the BBC’s Fisherman’s Apprentice with Monty Halls, the cove’s fishing fleet catch fresh fish every day.

Kynance Cove

Located one mile west from Lizard Point, Kynance Cover offers turquoise water and white sand with islands and caves to explore. Look out for serpentine rock formations and a pinnacle towards the north end of the beach. Stunning views make it one of the most photographed beaches in Cornwall.

Kennack Sands

Our nearest beach (just 10 minutes' walk away), Kennack Sands is a wide sandy beach with numerous rock pools and stunning walks along coastal paths. It is a life-guarded in high season and is well known amongst the surfing and body boarding fraternity, regularly throwing up 4 to 5ft waves.

Poldhu Cove

Find this cove by taking the Mullion and Poldhu road. Famed as the place from where the first trans-Atlantic radio signal was sent in 1901, this cove sports a popular sandy beach set in a beautiful location. Explore some of the fantastic coastal walks to make the most of its great view.

Polpeor Cove

Polpeor Cove

Polpeor’s mini beach is situated just to the right of Lizard Point. Expect a steep cliff descent towards the old Lizard Lifeboat Station where coarse, dark grey sand enters the sea at the foot of the boardwalk. This beach is unsuitable for swimming with most visitors sightseeing from the cliff path.

Church Cove

A regular on TV's Poldark, Church Cove is narrow and rocky, set between cliffs on the eastern side of the Lizard. You’ll find a slipway for launching boats, rock pools and gullies to explore. There’s also some great snorkelling and diving territory here if you’re feeling adventurous.

Polurrian Cove

Polurrian Cove is a west-facing beach on the Lizard Peninsula. Sheltered by high cliffs, its picturesque location is popular with families though the beach pathway is steep. The south west coastal path provides great walking opportunities from here, so bring your boots!

Coverack Cove

Found in the picturesque fishing village of Coverack, the rocks at this small sand and pebble beach provide a great spot for fishing. The Manacles are a dangerous group of rocks located just off the coast here that have caused many shipwrecks now popular with divers.
